My third & final "for fun" entry for the Seventh Sanctum Candy Mania
contest (the other two are here [link]

. This time Rampart fights back with a tempting array of her old classics - Cinnamon Plums, Dark Raisins (both of which were also mentioned back here
), Sparkling kaleidocremes, Orange Raisins, Orange Strawberries & Astropecans.
& again, a quick d.i.y rundown on the candies themselves: Cinnamon Plums:
Pitted prunes dusted (lightly) in cinnamon, kept for a few hours, then dipped in chocolate with a little cinnamon added to it. Dark Raisins:
Raisins dusted in cocoa powder & sprinkled with rosewater, refrigerated overnight then dipped individually in very dark chocolate. Sparkling kaleidocremes:
This is the fiddly one from this set - with a pair of clean scissors chop up multicoloured jubes into very small pieces, melt some white chocolate, add powdered coconut milk (about 1 tablespoon for 24 squares), then space dust candy, then the chopped up jubes. Carefully mix in some hundreds & thousands just before moulding, set, then pop them out and dip them again in dark chocolate that's also had space dust added to it. Top with cachous (or any other sparkling edible substance that's more tooth-friendly), set. Orange Raisins:
Raisins and candied orange zest dusted in cocoa powder & sprinkled with orange essence, refrigerated overnight then dipped individually in chocolate. Orange Strawberries:
Dried strawberries and candied orange zest sprinkled with orange essence, refrigerated overnight then dipped individually in chocolate. I didn't have much chocolate left by the time I got around to making these, so the coating turned out on the thin side. Astropecans:
Pecan halves dipped in dark chocolate to which space dust candy had been added, then rolled in hundreds & thousands and set in the fridge.
Photoshop, Artrage2, a digital camera & the above-mentioned ingredients - & I'll be definitely back to my usual art after my little spree with being the candyman Disclaimer: This image is not for profit & no money is being made from it.
